Since 1996, admirers of metal music from every corner of the globe have gathered in Belgium. In the June of 2011, it was the sixteenth Graspop Metal Meeting. The last annual heavy metal festival held tens of thousands visitors, and inspired the present order dissertations paper.

The Belgian town of Dessel is famous for its yearly festive occasion that takes part in the development of the world heavy metal music, and contributes to its world-wide fame. Graspop Metal Metting 2011 lasted for three days, as usual. From June, 24 till June, 26, international spectators and the metal bands themselves had the pleasure to be present at the recent festival. Such famous bands in the world of heavy metal music as Scorpions, Cradle of Filth, Whitesnake, Pain, Pagan’s mind, Slipknot and many others took part in the latest Graspop Metal Meeting. About seventy bands were glad to present their new hit songs, accompanied with the past ones. On Friday, Scorpions opened the festival with their amazing songs. On Saturday, Whitesnake appeared on the stage. This English rock band has a distinguished heavy metal style. Its music is traditional, passionate, and melodious, saturated with abundant solos. Along with the old hits, the band presented some latest songs. On Sunday, the attention-grabbing band, Slipknot , gladdened the visitors of the festival. The songs and image of the band impressed the public, and underlined the individual heavy style. This help dissertation proves that the world of heavy metal music has its annual traditions. Graspop Metal Meeting is one of such traditions.
